(2) Turn left at the first traffic light (about 2 miles from the Gulf station) onto Oyster Pond Road, turn right at the stop sign at Oyster Pond, and continue another mile to the Devil's Lane Parking Lot on the left.

From Providence and points west:

Take Route 195 east. then route 25 east, following signs for Cape Cod. Cross the Bourne Bridge, travel halfway around the rotary on the Cape side of the bridge, and follow signs to Route 28, Falmouth, and Woods Hole. Continue south on Route 28 and follow the directions provided above beginning with the second paragraph.*

Parking Lots and Shuttle Service

Public parking is extremely limited in the village of Woods Hole, but we have arranged to make some parking spaces available at 3 locations (see map). Two of the locations are within walking distance of the Lillie Auditorium. However, shuttle service will be available from all three locations. Please allow a minimum of 15 minutes' waiting and transit time if you plan to take the shuttle from any of these parking facilities.

The largest facility is the Devil's Lane Parking Lot on Oyster Pond Road, which is owned and administered by the Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL).

A more limited number of spaces will also be available at the 2 locations in the Village, both of which are within walking distance of Lillie Auditorium. One is the School Street lot of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), and the other is the Bar Neck Road parking lot, another property of the MBL.

All three lots are marked with blue signs bearing the WHOI or MBL initials in white.

Visitors who park in these three lots on the day of the Morss Colloquium will not be ticketed or towed. Please be aware, however, that WHOI and MBL do not provide security at these parking lots and shall not be liable for any loss or damage that may be incurred to visitors' property.
