A diagram showing how surface and intermediate water in the Arctic flows in patterns, also notice the many rivers in Russia and the one big Mackenzie River in Canada that add sediment and carbon to the Arctic Seas.  By studying the chemistry and the physical properties from years of rosette samples, scientists are getting a better idea how fresh water travels and affects the world’s climate.
