That’s a capital letter “P” in the word science Party!

Karen Stamieszkin

It was the last night in town for the crew and science party of the R/V Melville.  Most of us headed off into the night, looking for some fun.  Bill, a scientist from Florida State University showed off his chops while jamming with a local band (Bill’s the guy on the saxophone).  Meanwhile on the dance floor, Chris of the University of Hawaii, Francois and Mimi of the Melville’s science party seriously got down.  Can you imagine how you would feel if you were on the verge of setting out to sea for six weeks?  I was excited and ready to go!
