Richard and Bob

Karen Stamieszkin

Because we are on the other side of the international dateline, we celebrated thanksgiving one day earlier than everyone back at home in the States.  Nonetheless, we were thankful for an incredible spread of all foods particular to a thanksgiving dinner.  The cooks Richard and Bob even made fresh, homemade cranberry sauce (no canned stuff aboard the Melville)!  It was a feast to be reckoned with.

I think that everyone was thinking of their families and friends celebrating the holiday back at home, but we know that we are lucky to be part of a great group of crew and scientists.  If only we could zip home for a second thanksgiving the next day; round two anyone?
