Here are your two cups. The one the left has not yet gone down. The one on the right was sent to 4.3 km.

These cups all went to 6000 m.

The cups on the left went to 4276 m. The ones on the right to 6000 m. Does this make sense?

Your Cups
We decorated your cups for you and sent them down on two separate casts.

They are both 12 oz cups.

The first went down to 4276m (4.276 km, 4.66 miles)  on station 61 at 30.08S 176.5E in the South Fiji Basin.

The second, we sent down into the Kermadec Trench to 6000m.

Look at the before and after differences. Can you make sense of them? Check out our general comments on the cups size and Styrofoam.
