It's the weekend! Well aboard that doesn't mean much since we are scheduled to work nearly every day, but this weekend in particular has been pretty slow as far as science is concerned. At the moment we are at anchor (again) off Tuk enjoying some excellent weather. We have had a bit of a competition aboard with the card players as 20 members of the science group and crew have signed up for a cribbage tournament. While I am not much of a card player and since I'm too cheap to pay for cable TV at home I have been catching bits of the races here. I got to see a moto GP motorcycle race in Indianapolis and a grand am car race in Montreal. Some of the other folks have been gathering for evening movie time, watching a bit of both Canadian and U. S. football or making time for the gym. Unfortunately the internet is still painfully slow making communication off ship pretty tough. I guess the trick is to hit that peak window between 3 and 5 a.m. Um, yeah.
